    Hi,
I have just deleted @BIOS because I just read where it has no known benefit, I did this because my system is running is slow .

In Facebook the settings have altered so I cannot access the title part of frames to click on or the bottom of friends list to see the content,

Also the pages in general have this stupid advertising called Discovery that keeps coming up across the bottom of page

Also there is advertising that keeps coming up over the images of items for sale, this is adverting similar items
Can you please advise how best to get rid of this unwanted advertising and correct other issues please.
    Thank you

To help us help you, please use the TSG System Info tool to let Tech's know the specs of your computer: http://static.techguy.org/download/SysInfo.exe Copy and paste the results here in your thread. You can use the TSG Info to fill in your computer information in your user profile as well.

Also, if its a brand name system like an Acer,Dell or HP, please post the exact model of the system.

Hi Richglen, please run these scans below and post the logs.

Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.

    • Shutdown your antivirus to avoid any conflicts.
    • Right-mouse click JRT.exe and select Run as administrator (If using XP just double click on the icon to run it.)
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message.

Click on this link to download : ADWCleaner Click on the Download Now button and save it to your desktop.

NOTE: If using Internet Explorer and you get an alert that stops the program downloading click on Tools > Smartscreen Filter > Turn off Smartscreen Filter then click on OK in the box that opens. Then click on the link again.

Close your browser and double click on this icon on your desktop: [IMG]

You will then see the screen below, click on the Scan button (as indicated), accept any prompts that appear and allow it to run, it may take several minutes to complete, when it is done click on the Clean button, accept any prompts that appear and allow the system to reboot. You will then be presented with the report, Copy & Paste it into your next post.

That list doesn't tell me much, please post the logs from the scans I asked you to run in post 11.

EDIT: Since posting my reply I have read all your PM's and you should receive my reply telling you to make all responses in this thread. Your PM's did not include the results from the Junkware Removal Tool please make sure you post the log from that also.

I can see in the list above you have used Combofix, do not uninstall it as it requires specific instructions, Combofix is not a tool for general use and should only be used under the guidance of a Malware Expert, we will take it out later.

Please explain exactly what you mean by this line in your opening post "I have just deleted @BIOS because I just read where it has no known benefit" If you actually managed to delete the BIOS your PC would be completely dead, so please explain what you did remove.
