As you might know, my little computer store sells computers locally. I received this email from one of our customers today. Please let me know how I should respond. :)

I think I should reply that the problem isn't with the keyboard, and that she needs to return the entire computer. No exchange, though -- only a refund. ;)

Some customers!! I had one that was working on a Word document writing in black text and wondering why her color printer was not pringing in color. You should tell them you cannot read the L's at all in their email and it must be an Eye-D 10T error (IDIOT)

    Mike,

Have her bring the tower & keyboard in and run a diagnostic on it.

Odds are, the issue is the NUT behind the keyboard! :D

That's a classic one Mike. Here's another. I work for a retail chain store and we got a call from store a couple of years ago. The laser printer display read
"close rear door" and she said "I've been to the back of the store twice and the back door is closed!" Someone else called to ask if we could call 911 for her because someone was trying to break into the store after hours. Mind you, we're in North Carolina. She's in Mississippi.

I actually had a Mac user call to tell me her foot pedal wouldn't work properly... I had to explain how to use a mouse on her desk!

Back?? As long as there are AOL users and people that watch AI the error will be here and used frequently.

Disconnect between the user and the keyboard.

My typing teacher in Highschool taught me to use the "L" key for the letter "1" as a shortcut. So I find that very funny. TG: I think you should just tell him that he can use either "L" or "1" interchangeably. Tell him Hotskates says its alright:D
