put in all the cables
The monitor has Inputs: HDMI & VGA & DisplayPort. Let's hope you are NOT attaching cables to HDMI, VGA and Display Port at the same time.
It would help if you posted the brand and exact model of your "new pc" so we know what hardware is in it.

1. Welcome to Tech Support Guy

2. The vital information missing here is the make and full model of the computer
and indeed the graphics

3. Are you connected to the monitor VGA or HDMI or Display port

see the user manual which I presume you have
http://us.aoc.com/monitor_displays/i2369vm

and from there have you installed the driver - although for basic function it is plug and play - the driver install instructions for 8, 7, vista and xp are on page 40 onwards of the user manual

and what OS is the computer
AND is this the only monitor - desktop OR is it laptop and if it is the latter on some laptops you have to enable external monitor

As my colleague has said - advising without details provided can only be on a general basis
I was looking at your monitor AOC page and reading the manual - when my colleague plodr posted
