Have you tried the Toshiba site? Select your model and click go, and a bunch of things show up, there's 67 items, so click the 'next' button at the bottom if you don't see what you need on the first page.

    Yeah, thanks
Tried toshiba site, nothing there for the Tecra 8000 monitor.inf

I've reloaded win2000 on this Laptop and my screen is half the size. I presume I need a Toshiba LCD driver?

No, you need a Display Driver for the Video card - its responsible for the screen resolution and the colors.

The display driver is loaded and I can change the resolution and colours but the size of the window is half of the screen size. i.e. the viewing area is surrounded by a large black border

Either change the resolution to the 'native' resolution of the display or look for EXPAND display either in screen properties or in BIOS

OK, I caught out on this oen

For future reference if you have 800 x 600 setting on this notebook you get a small screen

    1024 x 768 setting gives you a full screen

This must be a wonderful feature of older notebooks becoz I dont get this on new ones.

Thanx for all yer help anywaze

Yes you do. Its just that the expand is default on newer ones.
