telephone jacks

Would someone please tell me the difference between an RJ11 and an RJ12.

I think it may be like CAT5 cable that my cable modem is on.
Know someone that added another jack to there home in another room and they use the CAT5 wire and got twice the speed then they was getting on from there jack.
I think the wire is twisted also so it is said to be better.

Thank you for the link. The answer I read that makes the most sense to me is that the RJ11 is a 6P2C and the RJ12 is a 6P4C. I tried to do a search before I posted my question but I got no results. Would you please tell me how you found this? I'd like to to be successful in the future with my queries instead of asking questions that are already answered.
