I have a new system running XP, 1.5 gigH, 256 RAM, and have trouble when playing some games in that the system will slightly pause.
Eg. MS golf, During backswing a slight pause will throw the timing out completely.
As I said , it is a new system and haven't had a chance to fully explore to see if it is causing any other problems. I ran the same game on a 733, 64 RAM laptop with no problems.
    Any suggestions?

Check & see how many Items you have in the startup & eliminate as many as possible You do so by unchecking them by going to run & type in msconfig click ok & go to startup. then when you have finished unchecking click ok/apply & reboot.
