Im completely new to computers so talk to me in English please!! I have to delete temporary internet files and history daily. Sometimes when I try to access a particular webpage it tells me I don't have enough memory to load it up. I have recently upgraded to 128 mbsdram(from 32) so I didnt think I would have this problem. When I delete the temp files it shows Im only using about 1/4 of the memory. Can anyone help me because its friving me potty!!

Hiya and Welcome

Its not talking about RAM, but about your programs running behind the scenes, so to speak.

Assuming Windows98.

Go to Run and type MSINFO32.

On the left click Software Enviroment, then Startup Programs. copy/paste the list here.

These will be the programs that are loaded up on startup. Many are not needed and they eat away at your rescources.

Regards

Eddie I am not trying to step on your toes but I have all the information they need listed on one web page that they can print out.

Go to my site, I have the instruction on how to stop the start up programs from starting at startup. Under msconfig is also a list of most of the programs listed in the startup.

Also check the same page for low resources and follow the instructions listed and these should solve your problems.
