Hi guys, just a quick question, not really a major problem, just a annoyance. I have recently upgraded my computer and there are 3 user profiles on it, a common one, my fathers and mine. All the temporary files from sites that I visit appear on the other identities, I have set user profiles but still no joy. Also when I download music via WinMx, my music appears in the other persons "My Music" folder and not in mine.
For the Tempory Internet Files, unless you really want them, do this:
Control Panel | Internet Options. Advanced tab. Under Browsing, tick Empty Tempory Internet Files... Apply and OK.
If you do want them, try this:
Internet Options | General tab. Where it says tempory Internet Files, click on Settings, then Move Folder. Change to your profile.
As for WinMX, don't have it set up on this pc, but from memory, if you go to the Settings button, there should be an option there. If not, go to the Search, and see if its in there.
My drive with it installed has died, so no WinMX for me....and all those files!!!!! ARRRGGHHH
The Temp. internet file problem is sorted out, just the winMx thing to master, but I'll see what I can do.
Pitty about you loosing all your music, what a downer, I have recently lost a lot of info as my disc fried two weeks agao.
In winmx when started up, goto the settings tab and run the setup wizard again, obviously you can keep the username password etc but point the shared folder to the correct one.
Alternatively once started goto shared folder, click on it to highlight it and then click unshare folder. Then click on share folder and point to folder on drive you then wish to share.
