I have an HP PhotoSmart 1000 printer, and occasionally my PC, for whatever reason(s), loses its connection with my printer. (Can not find HP PhotoSmart printer. Please check the connection to your printer and try again.) Before, invariably, all I had to do was click on "Connect" and the words "Testing Connection" would appear and immediately my computer would be re-recognized.

Tonight, however, I have clicked on "Connect" numerous times in an effort to reconnect with my printer. The words "Testing Connection" appear, at which point I click on the "Connect" button repeatedly, but to no avail. In fact, the box is 'frozen' -- there is absolutely no response at all whenever I click on "Connect". I have even shut down and restarted my PC, thinking that this might solve my problem, but it hasn't.

The solution is probably simple, but thus far I have been unable to figure it out. I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone who might have an answer for me.

    Thanks,
    Bill

Well, that sure was quick! All I had to do was unplug the power cord from the back of my printer and then plug it in again. I guess I simply had a bad connection. Obviously I should have tried that before posting here!
