    Hey, wow am I irritated.

I have this image (the color is TEAL; it's plastered over my desktop)on my screen that reads PLEASE SELECT. Below are 4 choices I'm to make (i.e. 1240X680 hz; 800x600 75hz, etc.) and below that reads PUSH TO ADJUST OR SAVE IN USER MODE.

The problem is, it's there all the time, as if it were pasted over my monitor. I have reset it , rebooted it, restarted it ... and it is STILL THERE. Can anyone tell me what is and to get rid of it?

    THANKS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    Sweetlu

    Welcome to TSG Sweetlu.

That doesn't sound like a virus, but if you want to run an online scan, you can do one here:

    http://housecall.antivirus.com/pc_housecall/

Unless you have Win95, do the following to let us know what programs you have running at startup:

    >> Go to Start, run msinfo32 and click on Software Environment and Startup Programs. Then click edit>select all>edit>copy and paste the copied text in your next reply.

I'm going to move this to the Operating System Forum in the mean time.
