hi franked ....still no joy ....the error message im getting is...\i386\kdcom.dll code 07....set up canot continue....its been working fine all along but i recon he has pressed something...........thing is we cant even get as far as the welcome screen......to do a restore.....this is a brand new xp disc .......if you can think of anything else frank...we would be gratefulllll..........andy.
