The case of the missing hd's

    I recently installed a new hard drive onto a comuter with windows xp and now it says that neither of the HD's are there! I set up my c drive (old HD) as my master but nothing has changed. Please help me!!!!!

    You need to go into disk Administrator and write a signature to the disks...(Disk Admin does this automatically)
    You will then need to allocate them and format them in order for the OS to use them.

    I cant do anything on the computer at all. The os won't load because it says that there are no fixed disks present. They aren't even showing up in BIOS.

    And you jumpered them correctly for the controller they are connected to?
