Well at least your appearance will now match your personality. See, every cloud has a silver lining.

I'm sure you only look like a freak to yourself. Many people have far worse disfigurements...cleft palettes, facial scars etc... You're healthy otherwise? You have family? A job? A future? You may not think so but life really does go on. Just give yourself some time. Maybe a specialist can reverse the damage? Maybe its only temporary? If not...you'll learn to accept it. Thats all you can do, ya know? *hugs*

oh and any girl worth her salt wouldnt let the angle of your mouth deter her from kissing you if she is attracted to you for who you are.

I've never heard of dental surgeries causing nerve damage before. It must be a rare thing.

sadly, these kinds of nice girls are long lost legends, but you're right, perhaps it'll be ok, that or i'll have to fix it somehow.

I don't know if you are seriously concerned with nerve damage or just reacting to temporary swelling .. if its the latter ..it will pass soon and BTW some of the worlds most attractive women have married men who were not that great looking but who had other things going for them.. look at Mick Jaggar, Carlo Ponti :D many others... And there are many women out there, who are not superficial..

Well at least you know your pickup line now could be "Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?" It could be worse.

It's common ..one the branches of the facial nerve (I think) wraps round one of the roots of your wisdom teeth. In the end you will probably only lose sensation on one half of your lower lip. :)

But since it's only the facial nerve it will be sensation not muscle tone you lose .. the person you kiss probably won't notice .. unless you kiss to hard because you can't feel it...

    Good morning Jack.
I checked my lips this morning and all is well. I did that because I thought this thread was a dream and working the shift that I do makes me do and think strange things. If I could just do something about my stu... stu... stu............... jerky talking. :D

However, my experience has been that superficial women put out more, so while you will find a non-superficial woman you won't be getting laid. (Can I say "laid" in Random?)
