After paying $60 for a genuine copy of The Elder Scrolls V there is a big problem with the game.
After the introduction of the game where you are in a cart with all the other criminals you approach the castle. When you go through the gates the horses keep moving the trailer until they reach the wall where they are meant to stop at. This is all meant to happen I know after seeing walk through's. But here is where the glitch/mistake comes in. After the horses stop nothing happen's. Everyone just stays in their carts and not move.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS. I should also let you know that no sound is operating, even with my speakers up and the game setting sound up!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

$60? was that recent? It should be $30 now.

As to the problem, can you move around? Judging from other sources it the opening scene should complete and you should be in some kind of riot.

Also please download and run the TSG Sysinfo Tool so we can see what is your computer specs.

Everyone in the cart should get out and line up, they read the charges and eventually you step forward. at that point it takes you to the character customization screen.
Something is not triggering the next cut-scene, either your system can't play the game properly, or it's not finding the next file it needs.
Have you defragmented your hard drive in a while?
Are your video drivers up to date?
If your antivirus has a game mode be sure it is enabled, if not, try disconnecting from the internet and disabling your antivirus. (just as a test. but be sure to re-enable it after)

I don't think you are talking about the right Skyrim. But thank you for the Answer.
Ps. I bought the game a long time ago when it was $60 but never ran it.

Amazon.com has it for $30 now ;) These types of games, especially Bethesda (Fallout 3, Elder Scrolls 4, etc) I wait for the Game of the Year so all the bugs are fixed.

Can you complete the requests in post #2 and #3 please.

If you are talking about your hard drive, you will need to go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter.

Please use the sysinfo tool in my original post so we can see what hardware we are working with.

Hello.
I am working with a windows 7.
So going into Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter doesn't work.
(there is no accessories in all programs.)
I thank you for your answer nonetheless.

It should be in Win 7, no idea why it would not be.
Anyway, you can also do a search for dfrgui.exe that should find it too.
