ioSafe's portable drives come with full metal jacket, free data recovery.
"ioSafe is so confident that it has designed the most rugged portable drive enclosure that it offers customers a warranty that includes replacement for any reason—even if a customer damages a drive on purpose—as well as free data recovery service. In fact, the company even let members of the press shoot up its drives with guns to prove that they are as rugged it says they are."
    (For only $3600.00)

The case is never the problem. For mechanical drives, it is the jolt that kills them, and those will die just as easily. But that one at least comes with SSD's as an option.

But when you pay $3600, is data recovery really "free"? You could always buy 36 regular drives and have a lot of backups. :D

My 9" Dell Mini has an SSD and i managed to drop it on asphalt from about 3-4 feet while it was running. There's a big ding in the corner of the case, but nary a hiccup from the drive, and that was almost two years ago.
