The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: StarOpen

    Guys, I'm running Windows XP and recently when I turn on my PC it makes a single beeb and then seems to run OK.

    Tonight, I was running Firefox and the system seemed to slow, before becoming completely unresponsive. I had Task Manager open at the time, however when I tried to shut Firefox down the PC started bleeping like mad and I was forced to do a hard shut down.

    I waited about 1 minute and then rebooted and immedietly went into the Error log and found the following entry:

    "The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: StarOpen"

    I tried Googling a fix with no luck and I can't find StarOpen in the Services, Apps or Program files. Nor could I find it listed in the Device Manager or the Boot-start list in msconfig.

    Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
