The following file is missing or corrupted ASPI4DOS.SYS

    When I turn my computer on, I get the following error message-

    The following file is missing or corrupted ASPI4DOS.SYS

    I've got Windows 98. Any thoughts?

    Sounds like a CD_ROM driver. Run Sysedit and select the Config.sys file for this entry. If found, type REM at the begining of the line. For example:

    REM Device=ASPI4DOS.SYS

    Save the changes, close all windows and restart the computer.

    Does it has an effect on your CD_ROM?
