I've got Windows 98. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a CD_ROM driver. Run Sysedit and select the Config.sys file for this entry. If found, type REM at the begining of the line. For example:

REM Device=ASPI4DOS.SYS

Save the changes, close all windows and restart the computer.

Does it has an effect on your CD_ROM?
