I was informed to uninstall the icon off my apps and now it has completely disappeared and I cannot find it in the Apps under Microsoft. When I go into Default Apps, it is there, but doesn't do anything when I click on it. How do I get this icon back please.
It is very difficult from the information you have given to know what you have actually deleted
Outlook in the full sense of Outlook is no longer include on 10 as a default app
The default app on 10 is Windows Mail
to which you can add mail addresses - outlook or others https://support.office.com/en-us/ar...o-i-have-b3a9568c-edb5-42b9-9825-d48d82b2257c
See screenshot
If you have actually uninstalled that app, rather than merely unpinned from taskbar and/or startmenu
then you should reinstall it from the windows store
see other screenshot
If on the other hand you have merely unpinned it then it should still be here to repin
see this screenshot
There is no facility to uninstall the icon itself from the app list, the uninstall is for THE actual app.
If you have actually uninstalled that app, rather than merely unpinned from taskbar and/or startmenu
then you should reinstall it from the windows store
Hi Macboatmaster
Thanks for your reply. I have resolved the problem now thanks for help.
The problem was the mail icon wasn't responding so I went into the apps and uninstalled, believing I could reinstall, but I couldn't do this. There was no mail icon there and there was no Microsoft store icon of news icon. Today they have reappeared, so I have gone into the Microsoft store and downloaded it onto my machine and it works.
