My tower computer will off and on connect to the ethernet cable on its own will. When i initially hooked it up to the cable it was connected, but a week or so later it disconnected and went to wifi, and after that it continued an off and on cycle from ethernet to wifi but now it wont connect to ethernet at all. I checked my device manager and nothing has a symbol next to it. It is a iBUYPOWER - REVOLT with intel core i3-4150 cpu @ 3.50Hz, 8G RAM, 64 bit operating system, please help, the wifi is unbearable slow for when i want to watch livestreams.

Disable the wireless connection (or just disconnect it if an external adapter), Restart the system, and show ...

Open a (black) Command Prompt window:
Hold the Windows logo key and press r; in the Run box type cmd and click on OK.

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

[Press ENTER after each command.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.
