hi guys, a couple days ago i noticed my computer moving much slower. i use firefox but i noticed that internet explorer kept opening all these pop ads by itself. i go to task manager and notice P38Hp674.exe and lexplorer. Then i get all these security warning from trend micro to allow or block all these crazy exe's. The problem started with a slow computer now it's actually freezing up after being idle. I tried deleting P38Hp674 but it wont let me. I've ran my trend micro virus software, spybot, hijackthis, superantispy, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, RogueRemover FREE-----which i read online is suppose to get rid of it but it didn't detect a single thing..............i ran roguefix_2.190.bat a day ago, it detected some things but my problems continued, i just ran it again, restarted and so far no p38hp674.exe

i've only had my computer on for 10 minutes. i'm not taking any chances in thinking i've got rid of this thing, because it can be a monster. i haven't had a virus/trojan or whatever it is like this since around 2000. thanks

when i woke up this morning my computer had all these lexplorer (task manager) and about 3 different internet explorer windows open. my computer was basically froze. the mouse is the only thing that would move. it took task manger 4 minutes to open and i couldn't close anything. Can someone please help me with this P38Hp674.exe? thanks

  • Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
  • Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
  • Click on Install.
  • It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
  • Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
  • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
  • Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
  • Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
  • DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
