Every time I insert a disk in the floppy drive and attempt to open a file, I get the message, " The System Cannot Read From the Specified Drive."

I tried the another disk in the drive after the first attempt, and I was able to open a file from another disk. When I tried a second time with the disk that had just opened, I received the message.
    Do I have a virus?

I also get the message, "The Disk Media is Not Recognized."

    Are you sure it's a 1.44MB disk or a 720K disk.

Yes. It's the floppy A: Drive. When I attempt to open, the light doesn't even come on. I continue to get the message, " The system cannot read from the specified drive."
