Whadda you know, Symantec IS 2005 decided to remove my localhost entry in its firewall allowed list when I installed SP2. Pesky wabbit!

    Hi all,
This may be related to my recent XP pro SP2 install, and subsequent critical updates issue I described in another post I made a minute ago...

WWW publishing is hanging on start according to the event viewer. MS thinks this is because I don't have permissions set correctly for the folder "machinekeys", or I'm not the owner of it. I've turned simple file sharing off, but no change.

I've tried to check that out, but neither by right-clicking, nor using the file menu in my compuer, can I access the properties of the folder - I ask, but a property window never opens. Nothing happens. I click on properties and zilch, my click seems to be ignored.

Any help figuring this out would be greatly appreciated.
