ok, deuce... we know you can fit 20 pages but go easy!!

Here's what annoys me and I know I will get a lot of Flake for it.

I really really hate it when people always have to put in that Dr. bullcrap.

For example my buddy answers phones for orders... and he always get people that says... "DR"... so and so... when there is no need for it!! they can't just settle for Mr.!!! What difference does putting a **** dr in it do??? ego boost?

please!! and please don't tell me, oh they deserves to get the recogniton... a doctor save lifes..

please again!! This could be a Vet Doctor or just a plain Quack (psycolgoist) so I don't want to hear it.

    what's your take?

Personally, I think it's really about respect although I'm sure some have a big head over it. I have a friend who's a chiropractor and I only call him Dr. when there may be patients or co-workers around. He certainly wouldn't *make* me address him this way but I feel I might be disrespecting him in front of those that view him as such.

I'm with Angel, I think its a matter of respect.

Not many things annoy me at all, I'm pretty easy going. Who cares if the caps not on the toothpaste or the toliet seats up or down.

My take hamster? In your "furry" opinion, who does deserve to get recognition in this world? .... and please state the reasons why they deserve the recognition!

As for what annoys me .... if only you could read my mind...;)

    Hamster,
Hello, I always get a kick out of your posts..

I recently worked with a M.D. who was training or fellowship from England and there ,they are referred to as "Mr" or "Ms."..It was confusing for awhile because when I said ,"Dr. please sign this .."He would never respond to me ..I, finally ,figured it out and called him "Mr." but there are some who would like you to call them "Superior, Supreme Being and may I share in the magnificence of your brilliance"..So I know what you mean...

Don't know how it is in America, but over here if a Doctor achieves and becomes a specialist consultant, he reverts to being called Mister. This can be confusing for some, especially my dear mother who replied to one consultant, "Yes, Mister Doctor."

My father, who went to the hospital with her said, "He's a Mr, not a Dr."

The Mr said, "Well, I am actually a Dr."

So my mother held up her appoinment paper and said, "But here it says you're a Mr. So how come you're a Dr?"

    "I went to medical school."

"So you're a Dr, then, not a Mr?"

    "I'm both."

"Well why don't you put Dr on your letters?"

"I do. At the end of my name. See. Phd."

"What's Phd when it's at home."

"Tell you what. Just call me Brian."

    Regards

DS, alright, I'll bite--what's it mean? (waits with smile on face knowing he's about to be insulted).
