I'm not as nimble a rock climber as I used to be...

But really, is there anything that cannot be achieved with training. I know I am fairly young among the group here at a few years below 30, but could one train and achieve the same today?

I like your format for this thread Doc:)

Then: Set up camp in no time...tent up, fire tending area supplied with wood for the mornings breakfast and roaring fire to warm evening hands and bones, food prep area arranged, bedding, bug spray handy......:)

Now: Pull my motorhome into the campsite...pull munchies out of the fridge and cupboard....lights out.... and to sleep I go watching the campfires out the window:p :p

    That honor goes to Blackmirror!

    It's a good one!;)

Then: Could jump a horse over a five-foot fence and did so on a regular basis.

Now: Have to spend time working up to jumping anything 2'9" or higher. Actually, can't remember the last time I cleared anything higher than 3' on a horse........... I know I haven't since my first kid was born!

then: run up a snow covered hill, slide down it, then run up it countless times more, and not get tired all while carrying up my own sled.

Now: run up the hill the first time after my son, slide down with my son, run up the second time, slide down, third time jogging quickly up the hill, slide down, jog slowly, now dragging sled up hill with son in sled, and then slide down, rest for about two minutes, get up walk up hill with son in sled, slide down stay down, allow son to continue sliding on own for about ten minutes before I am able to start the cycle over again. LMAO

back flips I used to flip all the time. I was an accomplished gymnast. Was considering an olympic run at one time.

Then: Party hard from Friday lunchtime until Sunday night / Monday morning with about 3 hours sleep, get up Monday at 7am and go to work without even thinking about it.

Now: I have problems staying awake past midnight, two glasses of wine and I'm pretty much done and there's only one 7 o'clock in my day these days and that's in the evening :D
