Hi, The log looks fine...nothing standing out related to malware.

Have you done any other scanning online? Here are some to try, these two we use about the most often. They do not disinfect much of the ad and spyware around today, but they will show it and you can copy and paste the results/ if anything is found infected.

    http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm

Panda> Be sure to scan all hard disks. If you have never loaded this online scanner: You have to use Internet Explorer, and OK the Active X control to download, and then the antivirus detection updates to download. This and the others here are NOT installed programs, just run with ActiveX, they are safe to do!

When Panda finishes, you will see View Report> then click "Save Report" and save it to the desktop, it is called activescan.txt. Copy and Paste the contents to a reply here. If nothing is found, you do not need to send anything in.

    http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

This scan only reports, it will not clean anything, but it is very thorough!

    http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/licence.php

This last one, BitDefender, will delete what it cannot disinfect, so do not try this one until someone says to!

NOTE: I have a question for you about the network connections students use while attending, and what you have to do when you bring your computer back home....we see a lot of connection problems with students at this forum. Q> What do you do, when you take the computer back home, to use the Internet there? Is it a matter of resetting the network IP addresses and if using broadband at home, it picks up the new IP address from the home modem/ DSL or cable?

Or, do you have to remove the domain the school uses....I see lots of those in your HJT log, and we see quite a few school computers this way, so I thought I would ask, if you don't mind giving your ideas about this, I would appreciate it.(y)

at school your wireless modem picks up the server and off you go...
when at home it grabs the designated wireless signal from my router (with approprate WEP) and off i go...
when i want to get on the school server i have to use my vpn......this patches me through to the server at school via my router and off i go.
zone alarm, however, hates my vpn and will lock up all internet connections when i try to use my vpn and ZA together....even after i told ZA to trust the cisco client and associated programs....

if i didnt explain something that you wanted to know or was just generally confusing.....ask away....

Hi, Thanks for replying about the school connection, apparently that is all legitimate...

I did ask for the results from one or more of those online malware scanners? Since Hijackthis does not show all types of malware, this is the only way we have to see bad items that are/may be hiding.
