I'm not sure what is going on as I'm not there to see how you're set up and what is going on. I found this video that provides instructions on booting in to ASD.


Since you're getting a login screen, it appears you're booting in correctly and the USB with the ASD image was created correctly. I don't know what else we can do at this point. There might be a chance the on board Ethernet controller is not supported by ASD. The only thing I can suggest at this point is to go back to the people requiring you to use this and get support from them. Or contact the company that created that Youtube video I linked. It appears they specialize in providing support for ASD deployments.
