Hi, seems simple, but the guidance I've seen seems not to be what I'm looking for. All I want is to create a 2nd TB email so that I can basically "backup" a ton of emails by importing them into the new email account. I have a PC w/Windows 7 home pro.

Thunderbird is an email client program, which can manage multiple emails

if you create an email online using gmail.com or outlook.com , one of the free services you can then connect to the thunderbird client program

if you need a backup - you could backup / copy the thunderbird folder onto a different Harddrive

gmail will also import all your email into a new label from another email account "inbox" using POP
