When I am connected to the internet I will often get a time out error message and it will disconnect me and say the connection has timed-out. I can just be reading a long article and this will happen, why? Is there something that I can change somewhere that will fix this? I don't know what its called or where to look for the settings for this. This happens all the time and I hate it!. I have windows 98. Thanks

Lisa,

Go up to Tools> Internet Options> Connections tab> Settings> Dial up Settings box click on Advanced> place a checkmark in the box next to "Disconnect when connection may no longer be needed"
