HI
I run WIN 98 SE.
I have been having security warnings coming up since my comp was reinstalled.
The first thing i checked was date and time settings, which are all ok.
I tried doing windows update today, cannot do as m/soft saying time settings not correct.
Could It be possible whoever reinstalled windows on my machine entered wrong country, and if so,can this be put right without having to re-install windows ??
Many Thanks
the brum

You can change the country settings at any time, in Control Panel - Regional settings.

But my point is, that is the country setting, irrespective of what was entered when Windows was installed. Reinstalling to fix that would pointless, as it can be changed at will later.

Your problem obviously lies elsewhere.

Of course Microsoft officially ceased support and updates for Windows 98 (including SE) from 11 July so I also wonder if that is a cause?
