    Hi. I have a Pent III, 800 Mhz with a 56K connection
As of late, it's been getting dreadfully long to surf the net
Going from one link to another can take up to a minute, minute and a half. It wasn't always like this. Even going from one page on a site to another takes a long time, even with zero applications running on my pc. I just don't have the patience to wait 5 minutes between the time I enter yahoo to the time I read my first email anymore.
    Help!

I don't blame you a bit... sounds like you may have a couple things going on .

My advice is go to housecalls & run the free online virus scanner.

for a free virus scanner ( if you need one )you can add to your system... go get AVG. Click here to download AVG

and to protect yourself from hackers etc... Get Zone Alarm
Click here the free version is fine

then there is spyware ... go get Ad-Aware

this should keep you in pretty good shape

Along with what Savy said try this, Go to Tools, internet options, click delete files, then click clear history. Click the settings button next to delete files and set your web cache somewhere between 20-80 MB.

If your using Netscape delete you netscape.hst file.
You have to do this with Netscape closed down.
You will get a new file the next time you open Netscape.

I delete mine every day or two.
