What operating system do you have ? XP ?

I have no idea if this is a virus or trojan but have you run antispyware and anti virus?

have you run a disc cleanup utility such as CCleaner?

how much ram do you have? if you have XP and click on start, then right click on my compute and then click on properties it will provide you with some system info such as ram

well since nobody else is responding why not download and run Hijack This and post the results. maybe something will show up there

Click here to download HJTsetup.exe: http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/files/HJTSetup.exe
    Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.

Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required

Thank you for running the Windows Validation Assistant. It appears that your Windows Product Key is valid.

This is a strong indicator that your operating system is genuine, however the Windows Validation Assistant cannot make a final determination.

To verify that you received a genuine Certificate of Authenticity and software CD, compare your anti-piracy features in the next section.

    Compare Your Anti-Piracy Features
Select the method by which you acquired Windows and compare the anti-piracy features included with your product with the anti-piracy features included with genuine Microsoft software.

i have also noticed on start upof the computer windows installer pops up and windows tries to install the fax several times. in addition; upon going online and/or starting of ie another window pops up hpiz311 again under windows installer.

i will send this for now because i have lost it once already.

    hpiz311 is Extreme Graphics Driver.

Run HJT again and put a check in the following:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

Doesn't look bad, are you still having problems?

after i did what you told me to do i decided to exercise the computer a llittle bit. i installed a game and guess what? an error came up. (this application has failed to start because bugslayerutil.dll was not found). immediately i put my amature abilities to work. i hit the web to find out what bugslayer is do i need it and is it available. i couldn't answer one of those questions. what i do notice right now is it is running a little slow though.

I moved the new thread you started over here. It was probably because of site problems this morning that you couldn't reply here.

CT - see post no. 12 which I just inserted but it appears before your last post.

Run Kaspersky online virus scan here.

After the updates have downloaded, click on the "Scan Settings" button.
Choose the "Extended database" for the scan.
Under "Please select a target to scan", click "My Computer".
When the scan is finished, Save the results from the scan!
