    Hello,

I have upgraded to Windows xp and when using microsoft word 2003, I have noticed many tmp files appear around my root drive my documents folder and desktop. This does not cause technical problems but I find that it annoys me as I try to keep a clean hard drive. Is there a way to find what application these .tmp files come from, or, if possible, could I set my system to automaticly delete them or stop them from being created.

    Thank you.
    Andrea

Word creates a temporary file when you open a document. Keep your documents in a folder and not on your desktop.

By the way, I'd like to point out, that you have 29 posts, 18 of which people have replied to you and you've never even bothered to follow up on :(

Right above the first post in a thread, to the right a bit.

coachdan32, do note that AcaCandy notes that you can mark your own threads (only!) as solved...the thread tools for another person's posting are limited.

Oh, and Eagles, ? Acacandy??? LOL!!!
