    Hello,

I have upgraded to Windows xp and when using microsoft word 2003, I have noticed many tmp files (~.tmp) appear around my root drive my documents folder and desktop. This does not cause technical problems but I find that it annoys me as I try to keep a clean hard drive. Is there a way to find what application these .tmp files come from, or, if possible, could I set my system to automaticaly delete them or stop them from being created.

    Thank you for your assistance.
    Andrea

Please do not post duplicates; your original post is here:

Sometimes replying to it yourself is necessary to keep it current if no one is responding.

I'm also going to move it to Business and Applications, a better forum for "Word" issues
