I live in a block apartments and there are much more wireless routers in the block.I know because I checked with a program called inSSIDer and it was full of different SSIDs.

I can see that my SSID is working on some channels which even other SSID are working on.

    1) What is it best to be done to avoid any disruption if all channels have other SSID on them?

    2) Apart from them what is the reason that sometimes they change, example SSID1 is working from channel 6 - 11 and then it changes on example 1-5. How can this happen?

    3) Sometimes SSID 1 is working from 6 - 11, and sometimes from 6 to 9?

    First Name:
    1) With your own wireless router turned off (or with just the WiFi portion disabled) find a channel that has the weakest wireless signal(s) and try it as your router's channel.

2, 3) Some wireless routers/access points have the ability to scan all available channels and set themselves to the one that will cause the least interference. If your neighbors have such devices and you don't, you may have a difficult time trying to set your device to the best channel, as it will be a moving target.
