    Hi and welcome to TSG.

Do you have any program installed, like Adobe Acrobat Reader or Foxit Reader, that can open a PDF file?

Are you trying to open the PDF file attachments within the mail program or web browser you are using to read the e-mail or are you first saving them as files on your computer and then trying to open them?

Here are download links for the 2 PDF readers that cwwozniak mentioned.

    Adobe Reader X(10.0)

    Foxit Reader 4.3.0.1110

Foxit is smaller and lighter than Adobe, but I've discovered that some PDF files won't open with Foxit, so you might want to install Adobe.

Not sure if you were able to ascertain Office with Windows 7, but you should be able to view (and save files as) .pdf files through Microsoft Word.
