    Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.1
    OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium , Service Pack 1, 64 bit
    Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU P6100 @ 2.00GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 37 Stepping 5
    Processor Count: 2
    RAM: 7854 Mb
    Graphics Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics, -296 Mb
    Hard Drives: C: Total - 294674 MB, Free - 186812 MB;
    Motherboard: Sony Corporation, VAIO, N/A, N/A
    Antivirus: avast! Antivirus, Updated and Enabled

    I look on the Intel website for the update to the Intel HD Graphics Driver, and there's a new one for my laptop. When I try to update it through Windows, it says I already have the latest up to date. According to Intel, the newest driver is 8.15.10.2827 vs the 8.15.10.2555 version that's on the laptop. Should I update to that one or just leave it? I currently have the exe update file in my downloads folder. Not sure if I should update it.

    If it's not broken don't fix it, that's what they say.

    Alright then. I've just been having constant problems with videos doing this weird buzzing/stuttering for a few seconds then going back to normal. I thought it was a graphics issue. Audio could be linked to it, but music plays perfectly fine.

    You can try and update then. Probably backup your current driver before.

    I would always update to the current version. If you can't get the newest update to work, well that's a different situation. Just depends if your experiencing any issues, if you care, security risks, etc.

    What's the complete model number of your Sony VAIO laptop?

    It should be 2 sets of numbers and letters separated by a dash.

    i'm with etech on this one. back up your driver first. if you don't and you need to roll back due to it not working at all, it will be harder if it isn't backed up. i had to reinstall one time when i forgot to do this.
