Token Ring Network

what is the difference between a token ring network and others??? are they compatible. i have two computers, one with a Madge Presto PCI LAN card and i dont know what kind is in the other but when i try to LAN them it says on the Madge comp that it can only onnect to a Token Ring Network?? wats with that??

There is a big difference between TokenRing and Ethernet and they are not compatible since they are two different topologies. Go to the following link to learn about networks and then if you have questions please let me know.
