In Netscape Communicator/Yahoo, when I search for a topic, I often find literally thousands of hits.

If, for example, I want "reapots", I see the display at the bottom indicates "page 1 of 18,600".

How can I advance to pages without having to open a window and go through each set of lists? In other words, say I want to skip from "page 45 of 18,500" and want to chack page 5,600...how do I do that?

Thanks!

use www.google.com ! (i like it)

using yahoo for example - searching for reports

look at your address bar
http://search.yahoo.com/bin/search?p=reports

in web site matches, click 'next 20'
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=reports&b=21&h=s

in web site matches, click 'next 20'
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=reports&b=41&h=s

you can just replace the '21', '41', etc by the page group you want (obviously multiples of 20 + 1)

in netscape search, the pages seem to go by multiples of 10,
http://search.netscape.com/search.psp?search=reports

the one below is what you get after clicking 'next'
http://search.netscape.com/search.psp?cp=nrpusnxr&search=reports&rws=11

so there you'd replace 11 by 531 to go to that page

the address bar is a wealth of info
