I am about to purchase a JSAUX USB C to USB C 3.1 Gen 2 10 GBPS 100 W Cable to use with a 65 W USB C charger to charge my MacPro Laptop. Does the difference in the wattage of each item make a difference? Is it safe to charge MacPro laptop while I am on a trip with this cable & charger?

Hello and welcome to TSG!!

The wattage value of the cable just indicates it's maximum capabilities. It will not supply any more than the charger puts out. You should be fine.
