Hey,
my friend put me onto a windows xp operating system on my laptop downgrading from vista. The problem is, is that after looking strenuously for the past month we have been unable to find ANY sound driver that will work as the laptop was not designed for the XP system, any chance of some help? when i signed up for this system i said i was intermediate in my knowledge but if anyone can help me putting it in the simplest terms i'd be really grateful.
Thanks

I've heard this before. Which service pack do you have running with XP?
Check on Device Manager for a yellow triangle with an exclamation point or a Question Mark. Do you see these listed? is it "Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus" If so read following:
Try please WXP sound driver: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe....=42&page=1&ID=60348&OSID=10&driverLanguage=42 It is for Equium L40 but this notebook model has the same sound card (ADI AD1986A).
