Toshiba Laptop deal good or bad?

    Just curious what people think about Toshiba Satellite laptops and if this is a good deal or not? Thanks.

    I dunno. I paid $400 for my Satellite almost 2 years ago. It was a very good deal, and yours has some better hardware than mine, but it is not significantly different. It is very hard to advise someone because sometimes great deals come along and make the advice obsolete. If it is what you want and you can afford it, then go for it.

    But I'd like to add that I was very pleased overall with Toshiba. I immediately wiped the machine and installed Win7 x64, but I ended up reinstalling almost all of the additional Toshiba stuff because unlike a lot of machines that come loaded with "bloatware", I found the Toshiba stuff very useful. There was very little junk. And their support has been good, too.
