Toshiba Laptop does not startup. Only battery lights and cooling fan will turn-on. Help!
The battery lights will turn-on. The cooling fan turns on. But the screen is blank, I hear nothing from the speakers, and I do not hear anything else startup (cpu, etc). I have not dropped or caused any physical damage recently. This began occurring after I turned on the laptop after hibernation.

My roommate has the same laptop battery and I have tried using her battery and charger. No luck. I fear this is a significant hardware problem. Please help in anyway. Thank you.

    Laptop Specs:
    TOSHIBA Satellite L655D S5050
    Model No: PSK2LU-001003
Processor: AMD Vision OS: Windows 7 (64-bit)

Try removing the battery and disconnecting the charger then press the power button down for 30 seconds or so and see if it will come on after that.
