Toshiba Satellite, running Windows ME.
Only problems previously had been that it would occasionaly not wake up after going into Hibernate mode.
Now, it will not start up. It goes through the cloudfilled sky with tbe blue/white bar at the bottom of the screen. Then that disappears and the display becomes text mode with just a blinking cursor. Nothing ever happens. ctrl-alt-del usually reboots the machine, but it's the exact same behavior every time.
Safe mode works (even with network support), as does booting to a dos prompt.
The bootlog.txt file ends with:
LoadSuccess = USER.EXE
LoadStart = MSGSRV32.EXE
LoadSuccess = MSGSRV32.EXE
Init = Final USER
InitDone = Final USER
Init = Installable Drivers
InitDone = Installable Drivers
Init = TSRQuery
InitDone = TSRQuery

What else do I need to know in order to troubleshoot this?
No PC cards, no hardware.
