My laptop is listed above, the problem I am having is when I type anything all of a sudden I am in the middle of one of the words I just typed before:( :(  :( . It just seems to skip around. I can't figure out why it is doing this.

It seems to jump around by itself. This is a used laptop and I have had it for over a year, and Win XP is Home Ed. ver 2002.

Does this happen in any text program including the web?

Not in any programs, just when I am typing email or using word pad.
I have not used any programs as this is an extra computer.

Optical means a laser light on the bottom instead of a ball.

Try it on a different surface.....give the lens on the bottom a clean but un- plug it first.

None of your suggestions have helped, anyone else know what could be wrong?
