After the most recent windows 10 update , my battery has not been displaying correctly , my battery icon still shows in the task bar , but the percentage never changes. it always just shows 99% , even after hours. I would like to know if there's a way I can fix this , as frankly I would like to know when I have to plug my laptop in. As I use it away from an outlet quite often. can anyone please help me? so far , all iv done is checked to make sure my drivers were up to date , and they are. So I'm not quite sure what the issue is.

According to its detailed marketing specs, it came with Windows 10 Home 64-bit.
Did you switch it over to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit?

You're using only the battery with that laptop and the taskbar battery icon remains at 99% and never drops?

Yeah , I switched it over to Windows 10 Pro 64bit. Had no issues all year until this most recent update. I'm using the battery that came with the laptop , and the taskbar battery icon remains at 99% and never drops.

Type winver in the search box, then press the Enter key.
When the small window appears, advise us what the exact "Version" and "Build" numbers are.

You've got the most current "Creators Update" version and build. (y)
The "Fall Creators Update" version 1709 build 162xx is due to be released in September.
Hopefully, that'll resolve the issue with your battery.
