What's the model name and complete model number of that Toshiba?

(Note: The model number is 2 sets of numbers and letters separated by a dash)

--------------------------------------------------------------

Why are you trying to do a system recovery?

Model Name: Satellite
Model Number: L455-S5009
Here is the support site for the Toshiba Satellite L455-S5009 laptop.

I suggest you add and save this site in your browser favorites/bookmarks list so you can readily refer to it when needed.

----------------------------------------------------------------

After you press the power button on the laptop, keep tapping the F8 key until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears.

There should be several options to assist you.

It's what the on-line manual for that laptop said to do.

-----------------------------------------------------------

It's possible the hard drive has died and needs to be replaced.

A reliable computer shop can confirm that.
