i have a laptop and the touch pad (that I have disabled in the control panel and in the FN + F9 key, keeps enabling itself from time to time when I start up - I dont know why. I tried taking out the drivers even completely and still runs, and even tried re-installing the drivers and software that loads.

I dont get it. I wouldnt mind keeping it on, but it causes my cursor to jump whem Im tpying and its very annoying, therefore I need it disabled.

I called toshiba 3x now, and they just keep saying "reformat" reformat" whn its nothing with my computer but with the drivers and software itself. Has anyone had this problem before on touchpads?

I want to disable it for good.

add your OS to your signature.

I will assume it is WinXP and say to disable System Restore, disable the Touchpad, restart, and then re-enable sytem restore.
