my touchpad isn't working. the driver I2C HID device is not working and i believe that is the cause.

i have downloaded multiple driver packages off of acer but non of them worked.

I have an acer aspire E5-573 and am running on windows 10 64 bit

Advise us what the exact SNID number and serial number is on that Acer Aspire E5-573 laptop.
Once it's correctly identified and its support site is located, we can help you better.

Those numbers confirm you have an Acer Aspire E5-573 laptop which came with Windows 10 Home 64-bit.
If you select "Windows 10 64-bit" for the operating system and then expand the "Drivers" heading, the list of drivers will appear.
There are drivers listed for Synaptics and Elantech touchpads.
Depending on which touchpad your laptop has, select and download and save the appropriate driver.
The driver is in .ZIP format, so it needs to be downloaded and saved inside an empty folder.
After that's done, extract its contents into that same folder.
After that's done, double-click the "Setup.exe" file to start the install process.

I have completed that process for both of the files, extracted it and ran the setup, but my mousepad still won't work.

The broken driver is called I2C HID device

    thanks

I'm not there to see your laptop, so I have no idea why its touchpad(Synaptics or Elantech?) isn't working.

Where are you seeing "I2C HID device not working"?

Until you get your laptop's touchpad issue resolved, use an external USB wireless mouse with it.
