I have a Dell Inspiron. Windows Vista. I have a tracking cookie that keeps coming back. I had Mcafee, it wouldn't find anything. Changed to Symantec. Found tracking cookie and trojans. It will find the cookie several times a day and delete it but it comes back. I also can't use search engines. I have to copy and paste when possible because I get rerouted if I click a link. How do I once and for all get rid of a tracking cookie?

I use all 3 that are mentioned in post #2. (y)

If you browse different websites every day, it's normal to pick up a few tracking cookies, so don't get paranoid about it.

If you uninstall McAfee or Symantec Norton, you should download and save and then run their removal tools afterwards so they can find and remove their leftover file and registry "debris".
