You know what I'm getting at? Ever since I got this...Browser Hijacker?...in my computer (I'm rid of it thanks) I've wondered why a commercial porno dealer would load something that opens every five minutes (and then starts opening porn sites). At least, in every case I've heard about or read about, that's what trafficex.org does. Opens...you close it, opens...you close it, etc. I can understand a vendor using browser hijackers to aggressively market his wares. I don't agree with it but I DO understand the thinking. What I CAN'T understand is a vendor intentionally wanting to annoy the living crap outa potential consumers, which is what trafficex.org seemed designed to do. So was it intentional? A prank by some demented hacker? Or just an example of a poorly written program?
FWIW, the network admin at my job (and I didn't infect HIS computers with it, it was on my laptop) thinks it's the latter. Probably was supposed to open everytime you boot, one time that is, but was poorly written. Very poorly written.
